With the anticipated release of ‘Open Wide’, Inhaler have once again solidified their post modern rock sound, served piping hot with a slice of technicolour.
Irish rock 4 piece Inhaler have been a fan favourite since the release of their cult classic album ‘It won’t always be like this’ in summer 2021.

After 6 years of putting out new music, it is clear that the bands experimentation has paid off; cultivating in a new unique feel-good dawn for the group.
The group, led by Bono’s son Elijah Hewson, originally formed in Dublin in 2012 and have since gone on to headline many festivals such as Reading and Leeds, TRNSMT and Electric Picnic.
Since then, the band have known no bounds- with a sold out tour just minutes away.
The latest release ‘Wide Open’, which released today, is jam packed full of that same old Inhaler mantra with a sprinkle of new found flare. Songs such as ‘Again’ epitomising this concept as well as the definite crowd pleaser ‘Eddie in the Darkness’.

This album is a true showing of Inhaler’s innate ability to create beautifully written songs- with the combination of not only perfectly written lyrics but paired flawlessly with heavy guitar to a soft melody.
The first release from this album ‘Your House’, is a hymn celebrating the bands progression in recent years; combining a choir to an air of a refreshing drum pulse throughout.
The album itself talks you through ‘a question of’ romance in Gen-Z culture, through the highs and lows of love in a modern era then ending on the track ‘Little Things’. The final song echoes that of The Killers, and is an almost perfect finish to the album, bringing a feeling of nostalgic charm which hangs over the album throughout it’s duration.
Inhaler have managed to curate the perfect summer album, just in time for the run up to festival season.
It is definitely worth a listen.
